Winter School in Cologne 2023

The University of Cologne proudly hosted the inaugural DAAD LegalLead Winter School from November 6-11, 2023 in Cologne, Germany. This pioneering event marked the first Winter School in the project and set the precedent for all subsequent winter and summer schools aimed at fostering legal education and advocacy. The Winter School's primary goal was to learn about hoe to build up law clinics, thereby broadening participants' knowledge and skills in Female Empowerment and Good Governance.

The winter school was a vibrant gathering, attracting over 30 participants, including professors and students from Al-Nahrain University, the University of Carthage, and the University of Cologne. Additionally, it served as a dynamic platform for NGOs from Iraq and Tunisia to engage in knowledge exchange and collaboration. This diverse assembly of attendees underscored the event's significance as a multidisciplinary forum for fostering legal expertise and promoting justice and equity.
