Founded in 1988, the University of Carthage (UCAR) in Tunisia is renowned for its academic excellence and played an important role during the Arab Spring protests. UCAR's Faculty of Legal, Political and Social Sciences includes the Governance Laboratory, which focuses on public law aspects such as health, local governance, energy and corporate governance. UCAR's International Law Research Laboratory contributes valuable insights to its research priorities. The university is home to two well-established law clinics - one focusing on gender-based violence and the other on migration and asylum. Through research fellowships and a series of working and policy papers, the Legal Leadership Project aims to strengthen partnerships, broaden the focus of the law clinics and foster collaboration with university partners.
