Research Stays

The LegalLead project provides the possibility to apply for scholarships for PhD students or advanced master students in order to work on research topics related to female empowerment and good governance at one of the partner universities. Ideally, the research project has to be developed and executed in cooperation with a governmental or civil society actor working on one of these fields. The research project is supposed to solve a well-defined problem of a governmental or civil society actor. In a second step, applicants have to identify a possible research partner at a partner university who could host the applicant for two months and give relevant feedback/input to solve the case. The host could be from the law school, of course, but also from other fields, depending on the specific needs (e.g. political science, gender studies, economics, etc.).
Advanced master students and PhD students can apply for up to 2-month research stays, a call will be published once per year. Priority will be given to applicants already active in law clinics at their home institutions.
